Sopie was born and raised in Cote d’Ivoire, an ex-French colony in West Africa, and comes from a big family with 4 other siblings (2 older sisters and 2 older brothers). For the most part, her family is comprised of doctors and pharmacists.
Right after high school, her mother sent her siblings away to France for a better education and greater life opportunities. Sopie did not escape this family tradition; however, she was the only child who was sent to United States in 2006. Despite the emotional hardship of living away from her entire family and friends and the language barrier, she graduated with her Bachelors in Finance from Towson University (Washington DC metropolitan area) in 2011.
She remains motivated and inspired by her family’s accomplishments and lifetime history of hard persevering work.
Sopie currently works in NYC for a SaaS company where she’s helping manage the financial operations and reporting. She’s also a full-time student (on weeknights and weekends) in her last year of obtaining her executive MBA from Montclair State University.

One Thing Sopie Does For Herself, No Matter How Hectic Life Gets
Sopie works out for one hour at least three times a week. This is beyond getting fit for her. Sophie loves sweating and pushing herself physically and mentally. In that moment, it's only her and her mind. As her trainer says, "if you want to be the best, you train like a champion."
